The Sylvias have been in MC
leadership for 11 years now [mostly
in Maryland with MC Mid-Atlantic].
Their passion for raising next-generation leaders is apparent. A ministry background that includes youth ministry, worship leadership, senior pastoring, communications and Christian education, Pastor Brian and Rebecca bring a wealth of experience with them into SBMC leadership. With a strong gifting in the creative arts, they bring their unique leadership style to the staff and students of SBMC.
The Taskers have rejoined the Master's Commission leadership after being associate pastors on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Curt and Taryn were part of the leadership team when the Sylvias were directing Master's Commission Mid-Atlantic. Curt also runs his own graphic design business, Storyboard Media. The Taskers- with their ministry experience and incredible hearts for discipling- are an exciting part of the Sun Belt Master's Commission Staff!
JP is in his eighth year as a part of Master's Commission. Originally from West Virginia, he brings leadership to the area of SBMC's travel team, as well as serving as the assistant to the director. His previous experience in the dramatic arts [National Award of Merit in Fine Arts Festival Drama 2003], allow him to provide excellent leadership in that area for the travel team as well. Heather is originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland and assists the co-director [Rebecca] as well as coordinates meals and activities for the SBMC students. She has been involved in Master's Commission for seven years and helps disciple the girls on the team. Heather helps to organize the Admissions Department of our ministry.
No one is more proud of their home state than Davey. Originally from Virginia, Davey is now in his sixth year with Master's Commission. With a heart for discipleship, Davey is a consistent voice for the SBMC guys and a strong leader in Redline Student Ministries.
