College provides solid, fully accredited
theology courses for each of our
students. These credits can even be transferred directly to Ecclesia upon the student's graduation from SBMC. From there, the student can complete their Bachelor's Degree Program online and apply for grants to cover the cost of their remaining courses. This is a very exciting academic opportunity and SBMC is one of the few Master's Commission programs able to offer this unique partnership.
With a strong emphasis in the dramatic arts, students at SBMC will have the opportunity to take part in two to three original, full-length theatrical productions each year. The Masterpiece Theatre Wing of SBMC is a great vehicle for those attempting to further develop their ministry giftings in the dramatic arts. For more info on these productions, check out the Masterpiece Theatre Wing Page. Throughout the year, SBMC will be involved in drama ministry in our home church, as well as other churches, youth services and community events in the Mobile area.
In addition to local ministry, SBMC students will have the chance to travel throughout the United States on ministry tours, encountering many exciting places and situations. This provides our students with a wealth of amazing experiences, new friendships and life-long memories! To book SBMC's Travel Team, contact jpmarker@hotmail.com.
The core values of Sun Belt Master's Commission are in direct correlation to the Master's Commission International Network's Core Values. These are Scripture Memory, Prayer, Servanthood, Evangelism, Training By Experience and Discipleship.
As we prepare future leaders, it is imperative that they are released with the desire to both know God and to make Him known. Each day at SBMC begins with an hour of prayer, praise and worship and an encouragement from God's Word. From there, our students learn what it truly means to follow Jesus, whether in the classroom, with small groups, or one-to-one discipleship opportunities.
By implementing small groups, journaling, accountability partners and events called "Coram Deos" (Latin for "In The Face of God"), SBMC students learn to follow Christ with total focus. The Coram Deo services are impartational in nature, usually leaving the student with a visual remembrance of the Word. Pastor Brian views these times to be "landmark moments" for everyone on the team. By the conclusion of the SBMC year, our students will be able to look back on these incredible moments in the presence of God, realizing that we were not only "in the face of God", but He was also in ours.
